As with all my new work, the blog post will have content safe for Instagram. Any more explicit photos that wouldn’t be IG safe are on my justforfans page.
Finally, after over a month of trying, I was able to get together last Monday with Russell to shoot the photo session we’d been planning! We began following each other on twitter quite a few months ago, and had messaged about the ideas of doing a shoot. When we both found time, we had something come up. I think that repeated itself 4 weekends in a row, with either me or him having an issue that would keep us from shooting. So when the day for our shoot on Monday came around, I almost didn’t believe we’d actually get to shoot until I met him downstairs at my apartment building and got a hug hello. We were finally on!
I was immediately struck by a couple of things about Russell; one, he was taller than I expected at 6’2”, and 2, he was incredibly pretty and personable. A fellow southerner, he has a natural charm that I’m not sure he could control if he wanted to. We did the usual first hour or so of conversation, and I specifically remember him giving me to an answer to one of my follow-up questions I was using to try to understand him more by saying “oh, I didn’t realize this would be a therapy session too!” I just laughed. But the conversation really was so easy, and I really am just interested in him as a person.
The light of the day was relatively strong, which will be a theme through most of the summer. That means that, in addition to having light later in the day, I’ll have some more high contrast images I can create. I love the play between shadow, light, and dark, and how those things highlight parts of the human form so beautifully.
I loved the ease with which we could photograph together. I always find every model to be beautiful in so many ways, and Russell was no exception. Every where I turned there was an interesting angle, beautiful shapes, or some incredibly sexy part of him to be captured. It really was a fantastic way to spend a holiday!
I’m sure there will be more to come, and probably more to see of Russell. I think he and I are both interested in shooting together again!
As always, I hope you enjoy the images.
